Welcome to Yandina State Primary School. We are very proud of the educational, sporting, social and cultural opportunities we offer. Our school was established in 1889 and has a long history of providing quality education to students in the Yandina district. Our school environment is one where the needs of our students come first. Our curriculum has a futures orientation but is still built on traditional values.While we work hard to prepare students for the future, the "basics" are still very important.
My passion as a Principal is to ensure students are engaged in quality learning activities that meet their individual needs. I want students at Yandina to be excited about their school. I believe that the current programs we offer, the quality staff we have, the positive involvement of parents and the energy that is around the school, all ensure that we provide that level of excitement for our students. Our school is a friendly, caring one where the needs of the students come first. 2006 has been an exciting one with exceptional results and student outcomes. It has provided many learning opportunities and wider options for students to allow them to become engaged in interests and skills outside our school. As Principal throughout 2006, I am extremely proud of our achievements and ask that all parents and interested community members ask for a copy of the “Yandina Outstanding Achievements” brochure from the school office.
